Judicial Nominating Commission Meeting
The Judicial Nominating Commission will hold a public meeting Friday, March 8, 2013, at 9 a.m. CST to interview the five candidates that have applied to fill the Circuit Court vacancy in the 17th Judicial District, which serves Bedford, Lincoln, Marshall and Moore counties. The vacancy was created by the retirement of the Honorable Robert Crigler, effective May 31.
The meeting will be held in Shelbyville at the Blue Ribbon Circle Club/Celebration Grounds. During the public hearing, attorneys and members of the public may express their approval or objections to the candidates.
Following the public hearing, the commission will interview each applicant before recommending three candidates to the governor. Members of the public are invited to attend both the public hearing and the interviews.
