Deputy Clerk - Knoxville

Position: The Office of the Appellate Court Clerk is seeking a qualified person for the position of Deputy Clerk at the Supreme Court Building in Knoxville.  The duties for this position include: filing of notices of appeal, appellate records and various pleadings filed in the Appellate Courts in an electronic minute book, and various other administrative and clerical duties.  In particular, the work requires knowledge and skill in data entry and organizational skills with an emphasis on details.  It is preferred but not required that applicants have experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.  Prior administrative work experience with the judicial system in Tennessee is also preferred.

Education: A high school diploma is required.  Salary for this position is negotiable depending upon prior relevant work experience.

This position requires a criminal background check. Therefore, you will be required to provide information about your criminal history in order to be considered for this position.
